I shortened "Broken" into a short story, rather than a full length novel. I felt it would be better.
Welp, on to the topic.
While writing Broken, I thought Hey, what if humans killed all the animals, and the remaining ones had to hide away... and someone found them?
Big mistake.
Now I have a whole new idea in my head, and I freaking have to write it down again. Like all my other story ideas (hey, Twitcher and Zorra, haven't seen you in a while).
This is another book I'd like to be a real book out there. You already know the plot, I said it in Italic, but I think I should add a few elements to this. I'm the type that likes to add battles and sides and bonds to otherwise realistic stories to give them a fantasy touch, so here you go.
The year is 2064, all the animals have died out, killed by humans. The remaining ones have hidden away inside of a mountain, and must learn how to survive in such a strange enviornment (even the ones that have no idea what's going on, like penguins and camels). The story is from the point of view of a cat named Chloe, an orange tabby who was close friends with a little girl before 2060 before an event known as the massacre in which an organization dedicated to killing all wildlife gained power and began to do their jobs. The girl's parents were members, and forced the girl, who's name was Clementine, into giving up the cat. Chloe was young at the time, and she didn't know what was happening. She was nearly killed, but managed to escape alongside a dog named Bailey. They encounter a mountain and find other survivors inside, and join them. The group is known as "The Forever." However, food is scarce, and there are 2 other mountains nearby, both also inhabited by survivors. One group is called "The Forgotten," and they are wicked, nearly evil killers who would do anything for a small scrap of meat They are known for their ruthlessness. There is also "The Lost," who are swift and silent, yet deadly accomplices to The Forever, doing all they can to destroy The Forgotten. They are known for their intelligence.
So guys, I'm nice about this stuff, so feel free to SUBMIT CHARACTERS. Yes, that's right, you can do this.

Animal: (It can be anything, not just a pet or an animal that lives in a cave, it can be a freaking ocelot for all I care)

Position: (Can be an explorer, a person who makes sure no one is intruding and looks around for food and stuff -LOL-, a medic, someone who heals others, a hunter, someone who hunts for food, a fighter, a person who fights in battle, an identifier, who makes sure food isn't poisonous and finds out the danger level of new things found by explorers and diggers -they use their nose-, or a digger, someone who creates new tunnels -they live in a tunnel system with rooms and tunnels leading from one room to the next, so these people dig new tunnels and rooms-. Yeah. You just read all that :P)

Also, this isn't an AJ story, so DON'T ADD AJ CHARACTERS. However, if your character has a minor accessory that makes them stand out a bit (for example, a chain around their ankle or an earring OR MLG SHADES jk XD), you can add that. If I quote your character thing, it's either because something was unclear, you missed something, or you got in and I'm welcoming you.
Chapter One[]
Chloe slowly pulled the bundle of berries towards her, sighing slowly. Bailey had been sick for days, most likely because of the new temperature and conditions they were in. Bailey had never been the type to adjust quickly.
Taking that unpleasant thought off of her mind, Chloe began to bite into a red berry. She had always been cautious of poisonous food, so she hadn’t bothered to try any foreign fruit or food while travelling. Therefore, she had never eaten this kind of berry before. It was sour and hurt her tongue, but then seemed to dissolve into a sweet flavor. Instantly wanting more, she shoved more into her mouth. A young horse, crystal white with a pitch black mane, trotted towards her, their hooves pattering against the ground.
“Hi! I heard you were the new recruit.” They plopped down beside Chloe, making her feel a bit uncomfortable.
“Yeah, I joined about 2 nights ago.” Chloe’s ears folded back as she thought about how hard it had been to leave.
“Bit strange around here, don’t you agree? And I thought the ranch was odd.” The horse scooped up a pink berry into her mouth and chewed it thoroughly. “This tastes like sour grapes,” she said, wincing a bit. You seem pretty odd yourself, thought Chloe. I wonder how she even knows what sour grapes tastes like. “What’s your name?” asked the orange cat, scraping a claw across the ground. “Isabelle. Girly, right?” Isabelle laughed, making Chloe’s ears hurt. “You can call me Izze though.” “Ok.” Chloe couldn’t think straight, due to the fact that her ears were still ringing. Izze grinning, and Chloe again felt unsettled by the huge teeth.
Chloe suddenly remembered. She had explorer duty at high sun! She quickly took out her sunstick and pressed it into the ground. The shadow was pointing to the left, and Chloe realized with a start that she was going to be late. “I’ve gotta go!” she yelped, jumping up and running off without saying goodbye. “So soon?” asked Izze.
Chloe ran too fast to hear Izze yell that she forgot her berries.
